LMG welcomes new private lender to panel

LMG has expanded its lending panel with the addition of private credit provider GCI Funds.

GCI Funds is a private credit provider founded in 2015 by leaders with experience in global private equity and private debt, including two decades at Goldman Sachs.

The firm focuses on providing bespoke financing solutions designed to operate outside traditional banking constraints.

Through the partnership, LMG Commercial brokers will have access to GCI Funds’ financing across asset-backed finance, real estate, and strategic capital. The lender works with brokers on transactions requiring flexible structuring and rapid decision making.

LMG said the addition of GCI Funds gives brokers another option when supporting clients with complex or non-standard funding requirements, including scenarios involving balance sheet restructuring or real estate transactions that may fall outside traditional bank appetite.

“GCI Funds is a strong addition to the LMG Commercial lending panel,” Sam Allam, partnership and product manager, said.

“Their unique approach to private credit provides brokers with more choice and the confidence to support clients whose needs require a more entrepreneurial perspective.

“It’s a partnership that helps our brokers deliver complex funding solutions that allow their clients to truly transform and grow.”

Commenting on the partnership with LMG Commercial, Ben Skilbeck, CEO at GCI Funds, said: “LMG has built a strong commercial and asset finance offering, and we are pleased to add a private credit capability that complements the existing lender panel.

“GCI Funds works closely with brokers on transactions that require speed, flexibility and tailored structuring, particularly for mid-market businesses, which we define as $5-$50m transactions, operating outside traditional bank parameters.”

The addition of GCI Funds forms part of LMG’s broader strategy to expand its lender panel with specialist providers offering alternatives to traditional bank funding, particularly within the private credit sector.
