The platform brings mortgage brokers, lender business development managers (BDM), aggregators and industry bodies together in one app, allowing members to discuss live deals, share lender updates and build professional relationships.
Co-founded by Jarrer Hensel, Netr was developed in response to what the company described as fragmented conversations across Facebook groups, group chats, LinkedIn and one-to-one calls with BDMs.
“Every broker has a handful of people they call when a deal gets curly. That works until the deal falls outside what those people know, and then you’re starting from scratch,” Hensel said.
“The knowledge is out there. It’s just scattered across a dozen places, and most of it disappears the moment the chat scrolls.”
At the centre of the platform are real-time chat channels organised by deal type, where brokers can post anonymised scenarios and receive responses from peers and lender BDMs.
Answered scenarios remain searchable, alongside an industry news feed and tools designed to support brokers working on live deals.
The app also includes social channels where brokers can share business wins, discuss challenges and connect with peers in their state or specialist area.
Hensel said the social element was intended to address the isolation that could come with running a broking business independently.
“A lot of brokers work solo. You can go weeks without talking to anyone who really understands the job, and that isolation takes a toll on people,” he said.
“We wanted brokers to have people in their corner, not just for the tough deals but for the tough weeks too. Because every member is verified, you know exactly who you’re talking to, and that’s what lets real relationships form.”
All members must be verified, with the platform designed to allow users to identify who they are speaking to and where they work.
For lenders, Netr provides a channel to engage directly with brokers, with BDMs able to respond to deal scenarios and share policy changes as they arise.
The app is free to use, with the first 100 members receiving a permanent Founding Member badge on their profile.
The launch comes as mortgage brokers settled a record 81.6 per cent of new residential home loans in the March 2026 quarter, according to the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia’s Industry Intelligence Service.
“With more than four in five home loans now coming through brokers, the relationship between brokers and lenders is the engine of the market,” Hensel said.
“We want Netr to be the place where those relationships start.”
