Agentic AI set to revolutionise broking, says industry coach

Brokers must embrace agentic AI as industry leaders accelerate adoption to streamline workflows.

Approximately 41 per cent of Australian organisations are currently using agentic AI, with another 50 per cent planning to implement the technology within the next six months, according to an IDC report.

Ahead of his appearance at the Broker Innovation Summit Melbourne, Bluewire Media marketing coach Adam Franklin said agentic AI is poised to revolutionise industries, with broking set for significant disruption.

“Agentic AI is the next evolution of AI,” Franklin said.

“Systems that don’t just respond to prompts but can follow instructions, take initiative, plan tasks, and act on your behalf.”

Agentic AI has already transformed workplaces, with IDC reporting a 69 per cent increase in productivity, a 68 per cent rise in the ability to manage complex tasks, and a 58 per cent gain in improved decision making.

For brokers, the most immediate impact is the automation of repetitive daily tasks, according to Franklin.

“Brokers are using AI agents to transcribe client calls, draft compliance-ready summaries, generate client emails, and pre-fill CRM notes. Others are creating nurture sequences or personalised updates for retention,” he said.

“Even with foundational tools like ChatGPT, many brokers are already saving 5–10 hours per week.”

These efficiencies will compound as aggregators and industry groups increasingly implement agentic AI to streamline admin, research, and client servicing.

He urged brokers to adopt the technology early and emphasised that agentic AI is a tool to amplify human expertise, not replace it.

“If you can walk away saving 10+ hours a week while delivering even better client experiences, then you’ll see how AI becomes a practical ally, not an overwhelming threat,” he explained.

“The real opportunity is knowing how to safely use these tools while keeping the broker’s judgment, trust, and client relationships at the centre.”
