Fintelligence, Australian Finance Group’s (AFG) asset finance broking business, has launched the Learn platform across its national network of more than 800 brokers, giving them access to training and business development resources at no additional cost.
AFG completed its full acquisition of Fintelligence in 2024, bringing the asset finance broking network fully into the group.
The platform is already used across AFG’s mortgage broker network and has now been extended to Fintelligence’s asset finance brokers.
Learn brings structured onboarding, on-demand learning, automated CPD tracking, lender education, Ambition Cloud training, and business development resources into one central destination.
Content developed by Fintelligence’s dedicated learning and development team includes lender webinars, conference recordings, and specialist training materials.
The platform includes learning pathways across commercial and consumer asset finance, lender accreditation, compliance, leadership, sales, and customer service, allowing brokers to manage professional development requirements while continuing to build their businesses.
AFG chief distribution and marketing officer Them Lam said the expansion would give asset finance brokers access to tools to support both compliance and business growth.
“We’ve seen the impact Learn has had across the AFG network, so bringing it to Fintelligence was a natural step,” Lam said.
“Asset finance brokers are operating in an increasingly regulated environment and Learn gives them access to the tools and support they need to stay compliant while continuing to grow their businesses.”
Fintelligence head of sales and distribution, Bianca Saccaro, said the platform was designed to make professional development easier for brokers to manage alongside their businesses.
“Brokers need simplicity to focus on delivering great outcomes for their customers,” Saccaro said.
“Professional development needs to be flexible, practical and easy to access, without creating additional cost or complexity.”
The launch follows AFG being named Training and Education Program of the Year at Broker Daily sister brand The Adviser’s Australian Broking Awards 2026 for its implementation of Learn across its mortgage broker network.
Fintelligence builds on broader growth
The launch comes as AFG continues to see strong growth across its diversified finance businesses, with asset and commercial finance settlements increasing 19 per cent in the financial year 2026 to $4.3 billion.
The group also reported an 18 per cent increase in residential settlements to $75 billion, while net profit after tax rose 39 per cent to $49 million.
AFG’s manufacturing loan book reached a record $7.1 billion, up 30 per cent over the year, while commercial mortgage volumes increased 24 per cent to $6.3 billion.
The aggregator’s broker network also grew to more than 4,300 brokers, with 59 per cent now writing multiple products.
However, AFG has warned that the stronger FY26 results have been followed by a softer start to the new financial year, with residential lodgements in August 16 per cent below the same month last year.
The group attributed the slowdown primarily to weaker investor activity, with lodgements beginning to soften from mid-May following the federal budget.
