The brokerage and the financial planning company said the merger brings together their lending and wealth management capabilities while maintaining existing client relationships and operations.
The two businesses also said they would integrate progressively over time, with a focus on maintaining continuity for clients, partners, and employees.
Acceptance Finance clients will continue working with their current brokers, with no immediate changes to service, branding, or existing relationships.
The combined group also plans to continue working with Acceptance Finance’s existing network of financial planning and professional partners.
Acceptance Finance CEO Jonathan Cornish said the partnership would enable the brokerage to expand its capabilities while retaining its existing approach to business.
“Acceptance Finance has built strong relationships with clients, brokers and professional partners over many years,” he said.
“Through this partnership, we gain greater scale and capability while maintaining the personalised service and independence that have defined our business.”
As part of the partnership, Acceptance Finance co-founder Daniel Di Conza will also continue with the combined group, focusing on strategic growth initiatives and acquisition opportunities.
Apt Wealth Partners CEO Andrew Dunbar said he thought the partnership would expand the range of services available to clients by providing access to additional wealth advice, lending support, and other professional services.
“This is about bringing together two complementary businesses with aligned values,” he said.
“It strengthens the breadth of expertise available to clients while preserving the relationships and partnerships that have been central to both firms’ success.”
The firms said the expanded business would also look to provide additional support to brokerages in areas including technology, automation, artificial intelligence, marketing, and operational support.
