Broker Innovation Summit 2026 launches

The Broker Innovation Summit 2026 is set to return, bringing together Australia’s most forward-thinking brokers, technology leaders, and industry innovators for a deep dive into the future of broking.

Hosted by Broker Daily in partnership with principal partner NextGen, the Broker Innovation Summit will focus squarely on the tools, strategies, and thinking required to stay competitive in a rapidly evolving market.

It will be coming to Sydney on 24 June 2026 at the Telstra Sydney Centre and Melbourne on 3 July 2026 at The Edge, Fed Square.

With artificial intelligence, automation, and digital-first lending models reshaping how brokers operate, the event will explore how the industry can move beyond experimentation and begin applying technology in meaningful, scalable ways.

A spokesperson for NextGen said the pace of change across the sector is only accelerating.

“Change is the one constant in the mortgage and finance broking industry. Customer expectations are rising, technology is reshaping how deals get done, and the brokers who thrive will be those who embrace change rather than resist it,” the spokesperson said.

“Supporting innovation isn’t just about efficiency, it’s about empowering brokers to deliver better outcomes for everyday Australians navigating one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives.

“That’s why we’re thrilled to be partnering again as Principal Partner of the Broker Innovation Summit 2026. When we invest in smarter tools and forward-thinking solutions, we’re strengthening the trust that sits at the heart of every broker-client relationship.”

This one-day summit will bring together technology pioneers and Australia’s most progressive brokers and thought leaders to unpack what the next generation of broking looks like.

The 2026 summit will feature a strong line-up of speakers from across the lending and technology ecosystem. Speakers confirmed so far are:

  • Tony Carn, chief customer officer of NextGen
  • Eric Dill, co-founder of Quickli.
  • Grant Roden, executive manager, business support, home-buying distribution at Bankwest.
  • Michael Richardson, CEO and co-founder of Cynario.
  • Ruth Hatherley, founder of Stryd.
  • Brett Spencer, CEO of Docuscan

More speakers are to be announced.

From AI that can work on a broker’s behalf to automation that removes hours of administration, the event will showcase how leading brokers are already using technology to attract more clients, move faster, and scale smarter.

The agenda is designed to move beyond theory – focusing on practical application. Attendees will gain insights into the psychology and digital behaviours of modern borrowers, learn how to build a brokerage designed to scale, and identify the systems and tech stacks used by top-performing brokers.

Sessions will also explore how brokers can differentiate themselves in an increasingly digital market and move from experimenting with AI to applying it meaningfully and compliantly.

The summit is supported by a range of partners across the industry, including platinum partner Renown Lending, alongside Accurateli, Bankwest, Bendigo Bank, Bizcap, Brighten, Cynario, DocuScan, FBAA, Middle Finance, LoanOptions.ai, Lumi, Quickli, Stryd, and Broker Pulse.

In both Sydney and Melbourne, the summit will be followed up with the prestigious Broker Innovation Awards, also in partnership with NextGen. Find out more about the awards here.
