LMG appoints 2 new BDMs

Loan Market Group has expanded its lending support team through the appointment of two new business development managers for South Australia and Western Australia.

In Western Australia, Jodie Hanson joins as the lead for the aggregation group’s Loan Market Group (LMG) Lending after a four-year tenure as senior BDM at Pepper Money.

Meanwhile, Bec Barrett has been named lead for LMG Lending in South Australia, bringing 17 years of experience from NAB and its subsidiary Medfin Finance.

According to LMG executive director and CEO Ewen Stafford, these appointments reinforce the company's proprietary lending as a competitive asset for brokers.

He noted that these products were designed by LMG in collaboration with brokers to specifically target policy gaps and improve turnaround efficiency.

“Growth in South Australia’s and Western Australia’s real estate markets in recent times has encouraged more customers to engage brokers to navigate competitive conditions,” he said.

“Our focus is ensuring brokers have the tools to structure deals and deliver exceptional outcomes. Bec and Jodie each bring extensive lending experience to LMG and will support our brokers to uncover even more solutions for their customers.”

At Medfin, Barrett said that she spent time helping medical practitioners and brokers find solutions that met their customers’ unique needs.

“I love working directly with clients. The opportunity to represent LMG – which has always had a strong reputation – and help brokers offer more to their clients was really appealing,” she said.

Hanson has reacquainted herself with part of the network in her new role, having previously spent 18 months managing Pepper Money’s Loan Market network in Western Australia.

“It’s been exciting to dive into the suite of LMG Lending offerings, from Apollo to Zeus, Go Beyond and Bridgit by LMG, and showing brokers who they can take advantage of these products,” she said.

Having appointed a new CEO last year, LMG has been cementing its presence across the states. Last month, the aggregation group appointed Natalie White‑Dunn as Western Australian growth manager and Loan Market broker success manager.

LMG has also been expanding its white label loan offering while focusing on using AI to increase efficiency.
