Bluestone joins LMG commercial panel

Bluestone Home Loans has been appointed to Loan Market Group’s commercial lending panel, expanding access for brokers supporting self-employed and commercial clients.

The appointment extends a relationship between the non-bank and Loan Market Group (LMG) that has spanned more than 20 years and comes amid continued product expansion by the non-bank.

In late 2025, Bluestone launched new commercial alt doc and SMSF products, alongside expat and residential construction loans, targeting borrowers with non-standard lending needs.

LMG group executive for commercial finance, Steve Scahill, said Bluestone’s inclusion would broaden options for brokers across residential and business lending.

“We are thrilled to see this relationship grow with Bluestone’s inclusion on our commercial panel,” Scahill said.

“This expansion provides an excellent opportunity for brokers. The demand for flexible commercial solutions continues to grow, and Bluestone brings real depth in the specialist and alt doc space.”

Bluestone chief commercial officer Tony MacRae said the panel appointment reflected the progression of the longstanding partnership.

“We’ve worked closely with LMG and its brands for many years. Extending that relationship into commercial feels like the right next step. We’re looking forward to helping more brokers grow in this space,” MacRae said.

Bluestone has been growing its broker channel since its brand refresh last year. Since 10 February 2025, the lender has reported a 61 per cent year-on-year increase in broker-submitted applications.

Broader access

With Bluestone now available on both LMG’s residential and commercial panels, brokers can access alt doc lending for self-employed and SME clients, commercial property finance for assets including warehouses, retail and mixed-use properties, and SMSF property lending alongside residential investor solutions.

Bluestone chief commercial officer MacRae said the move would provide LMG brokers with additional pathways to support commercial property investors.

“Our commercial property loans offer solutions for more borrowers, including alt doc and SMSF,” MacRae said.

“This means brokers can support more of their clients’ goals in one place and feel confident they have flexible options when traditional lending is restrictive.”
