AMP Bank to bolster broker relationships with 2 appointments

The lender has made two strategic appointments to strengthen its relationship with brokers.

Travis Hall has stepped into the role of national manager – broker distribution.

This position will see Hall lead the broker partnerships division of AMP Bank alongside the lender’s business development managers.

A second appointment will see Paul Herbert lead the newly created position of head of lending and everyday banking customer success from 8 September.

Herbert will oversee the delivery of customer service and is tasked with improving how the AMP Bank interacts with its consumers.

Both Hall and Herbert are veterans of the industry and have worked with the company for some time.

Herbert has been with AMP Bank for four years, most recently as the head of lending and everyday banking distribution.

He has worked closely with brokers throughout this time and is a strong advocate for the third-party channel.

Hall was most recently the national sales manager – broker distribution at AMP Bank. He has worked closely with Herbert to drive partnerships with brokers, consumers and small businesses.

He has over 30 years’ experience in the banking and franchising industries, working as head of franchise distribution at Yellow Brick Road prior to working for the lender.

Hall previously held positions at Tatts Group, Refund Home Loans, GE Money, Terrain Home Loans, and Westpac, where he developed strong relationships with the broking industry.

These appointments are part of AMP Bank’s mission to build trusted partnerships with brokers and solutions for customers, said Michael Christofides, director of lending and everyday banking.

“Paul has made a significant contribution to strengthening AMP Bank’s distribution over the past four years, and we’re delighted he will now lead our focus on customer success,” Christofides said.

“At the same time, Travis brings deep industry experience and a strong track record of working closely with brokers and aggregator partners. Together, their leadership will ensure AMP Bank continues to deliver outstanding service, strengthen our partnerships and provide more value to customers.”
