First Federal joins NextGen’s ApplyOnline platform

Non-bank lender First Federal has gone live on NextGen’s ApplyOnline platform, allowing brokers to lodge mortgage applications through the digital platform.

The integration, which went live on 28 September, includes ApplyOnline eSign and NextGenID from launch.

ApplyOnline eSign allows borrowers to complete consent and declaration paperwork digitally, while NextGenID provides digital identity verification at the point of application.

First Federal CEO James Angus said the move was part of the lender’s focus on making it easier for brokers to submit and manage applications.

“We’re focused on being one of the easiest lenders for brokers to deal with, and that starts with the tools we put in their hands,” Angus said.

“ApplyOnline gives brokers a fast, familiar way to lodge with us. It’s one more step in removing unnecessary friction for brokers and their clients.”

The integration follows First Federal’s recent launch of its Broker Portal and adds to the lender’s existing broker offering, which includes same-day approvals, no clawbacks and direct access to its credit team.

NextGen strategic partnerships manager Marcus Walley said the platform’s digital tools would support brokers through the application process.

“We’re pleased to welcome First Federal onto ApplyOnline,” Walley said.

“Given their commitment to making the lending experience easy and seamless for brokers, we’re delighted to be considered First Federal’s partner of choice.

“With the addition of tools like eSign and NextGenID from the outset, First Federal is giving their brokers an efficient, secure lodgement experience, on a platform that’s built to scale as their business grows.”

Brokers can now lodge First Federal mortgage applications directly through ApplyOnline.

Broker portal adds application tracking

The ApplyOnline integration follows First Federal’s launch of a new broker portal earlier in September 2026, giving brokers real-time visibility over applications from submission through to settlement.

Available to all brokers working with First Federal, the portal includes milestone notifications, mobile access and direct access to business development managers and credit support teams.

The lender has also introduced a digital valuation tool through Cotality’s Property Hub as part of its broader investment in broker technology.
