La Trobe takes out international award

La Trobe Financial has scooped up a coveted title at this year’s International Alternative Investment Review (IAIR) Awards.

The group was crowned Best Specialist Lender Australia at the IAIR Awards in Hong Kong, after being chosen from a shortlist of nominees selected by some 50,000 investors globally from more than 120 countries.

La Trobe Financial president and CEO, Greg O’Neill, said the award was testament to the group’s unwavering commitment to Australian borrowers.

“Our commitment has never changed. We are here to help Australians realise their dreams and achieve financial independence through home ownership,” he said.

“Our lending volume results in originating over $300 million per month and the awards we are achieving today demonstrate delivery of a clear, coherent strategy, executed with considerable discipline, combined with our philosophy of focusing on our clients’ interests first.

“We are a stable lending platform that brokers can and will continue to trust and this Best Specialist Lender award recognises that.”

The IAIR awards recognise some of the world’s best global finance, wealth management, brokerage and asset management providers.

La Trobe Financial vice president and chief lending officer, Cory Bannister, said making the final cut was a significant achievement.

“We are proud to be recognised as Australia’s Best Specialist Lender,” he said.

“La Trobe Financial has one of the broadest product suites available in the Australian market.

“We deliver flexibility and access to markets for our brokers that the major banks generally don’t provide.”
