Better Business Summit crowned Event of the Year

The Adviser’s premier annual event has taken out the top gong at one of Australia’s most established awards ceremonies.

The Adviser can reveal that its Better Business Summit has won the Business Event of the Year at this year’s Publish Awards (previously the Publishers Australia Excellence Awards) at a gala event in Sydney on Wednesday night.

The Publish Awards recognise the best in print and digital publishing across Australia, and have been running for 18 years.

In addition, Sterling Publishing, the publisher behind The Adviser's Better Business Summit, picked up the winner’s gold medal for the Business Publishing Company of the Year at the same ceremony.

Alex Whitlock, director and group publisher, said he is humbled by winning the award.

“That The Adviser’s Better Business Summit has been recognised for its excellent contribution to the business community reinforces the strength of the brand in connecting with the industry and engaging with its target audience,” he added.

“The level of attendance, engagement and professionalism from brokers all striving for excellence highlights how important it is for the third-party channel to continually better itself for the benefit of the Australian mortgage landscape,” Mr Whitlock said.

The Better Business Summit award, he said, is a testament to the strength of the industry and the talent that is in it.
