Entries now open for the Better Business Awards 2027

Submissions have officially opened for the Better Business Awards 2027, Australia’s premier state-based program recognising excellence across the mortgage and finance broking industry.

Now in its 13th year, the Better Business Awards program – presented by Broker Daily sister brand The Adviser in partnership with principal partner National Australia Bank (NAB) – serves as the benchmark for the third-party channel.

Designed to evaluate business performance beyond settlement volumes alone, the awards program highlights operational integrity, client trust, leadership, and sector-wide innovation.

Submissions and nominations are open to all eligible brokers, brokerages, aggregators, and finance professionals nationwide across 20 distinct award categories.

The submission window will close on Friday, 16 October 2026, with official finalists revealed in February 2027, preceding a series of state gala ceremonies held throughout February, March, and April 2027.

More than 600 industry leaders, lenders, and mortgage professionals are expected to attend each event across Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, and Sydney.

The Better Business Awards 2027 will be held on:

  • Western Australia: Crown Perth – Thursday, 18 February 2027

  • Victoria/Tasmania: Crown Melbourne – Thursday, 25 February 2027

  • South Australia/Northern Territory: Adelaide Convention Centre – Thursday, 4 March 2027

  • Queensland: Sofitel Brisbane – Wednesday, 10 March 2027

  • NSW/ACT: Hyatt Regency Sydney – Thursday, 15 April 2027.

Participation in the program offers professionals three primary advantages: state-level performance benchmarking, independent industry validation to strengthen market reputation, and ongoing marketing exposure through The Adviser’s media network.

All entries undergo evaluation by an independent panel of industry judges using a combination of quantitative and qualitative criteria. Key evaluation metrics include business growth, operational excellence, leadership, diversity initiatives, and overall contribution to Australia’s mortgage and finance sector.

Industry members may submit self-nominations or nominate third-party individuals and brokerages directly through the official event portal.
