The Better Business Summit will return in March and April 2026 with the backing of principal partner NAB, bringing a five-state roadshow designed to help brokers sharpen strategy, lift performance, and stay ahead as competition intensifies across residential, commercial, and specialist finance.
Running across Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Sydney, and Melbourne, the 2026 summit will feature a full-day agenda led by senior industry figures, elite performance leaders, and digital and AI specialists, with each event capped at 500 attendees.
Supported by NAB, the Better Business Summit aims to equip brokers with practical frameworks to scale sustainably, improve efficiency, and strengthen visibility in an increasingly AI-driven market, as borrower expectations and competitive pressure rise.
The program will open with a welcome from principal partner NAB, before diving into a series of tactical and practical sessions focused on high performance, growth, and operational excellence.
Ensure you aren’t left behind
Digital visibility and client acquisition will be in sharp focus, with Digital Brief director Russell Easther exploring how brokers can win clients in an AI-driven world.
Lead generation is no longer about SEO – it’s all about GEO and ensuring AI platforms like ChatGPT are serving up your business to borrowers seeking broker help.
His sessions will examine how tools such as ChatGPT are reshaping search and discovery, what signals large language models value, and how brokers can adapt their content and marketing strategies to remain visible and trusted.
AI adoption will then be brought into sharp relief by Bluewire Media marketing and AI coach Adam Franklin, who will demonstrate how mortgage brokers are already using AI tools to reclaim more than 10 hours a week by automating routine tasks, reducing administration, and improving client communication without losing the human touch.
Growth and scale will be addressed through a case study of award-winning brokerage Smartmove – Professional Mortgage Advisors, part of Viridian Financial Group.
General manager of lending, Darren Little, will take attendees behind the scenes of Smartmove’s expansion into a 100-strong, multi-country operation, sharing lessons on reducing key person risk, embedding operational discipline, and maintaining culture at scale. He’ll reveal the secrets to growing a brokerage into a major national player.
High-performance under pressure will be a key theme, with Sydney Swans chief operating officer Drew Arthurson delivering back-to-back sessions on building businesses that perform in elite environments and running brokerages like high-performance teams. Drawing on experience from Apple and professional sport, Arthurson will unpack the systems, rhythms, and decision-making structures that underpin sustained success.
The summit will conclude with a keynote from Shark Tank investor and Vita Group founder Maxine Horne, who will draw on decades of experience building and scaling a publicly listed business to outline what separates businesses that scale from those that stall, particularly as complexity and pressure increase.
Throughout the day, brokers will have opportunities to network with peers, industry leaders, and partners, sharing insights and building connections across the sector.
