Ravinesh Singh, who was formerly employed at Westpac’s Market Street branch in downtown Sydney, pleaded guilty to eight charges of “dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception”.
Mr Singh was convicted by the courts after being found to have obtained and withdrawn over $113,000 on credit cards under false names.
“Consumers need to have confidence and trust in those providing financial and credit services. Individuals who fail to operate with integrity and in the best interests of their clients will be removed from the industry,” said ASIC commissioner Greg Tanzer.
