Tammy Medard will take on the role effective 1 May 2026.
Medard succeeds Morgan, who is leaving the bank after overseeing the establishment of the standalone business and private bank division, including its digital strategy and broader performance reset.
Currently managing director institutional Australia and Papua New Guinea, Medard has responsibility for ANZ’s 3,500 institutional customers across those markets.
She joined ANZ in 2009 and has since held senior positions across the bank’s institutional and risk divisions in both Australia and Asia.
In the new role, Medard will report to ANZ chief executive officer Nuno Matos, join the executive committee and lead the bank’s business and private bank division as part of ANZ’s 2030 strategy.
Commenting on the appointment, Matos said: “Tammy is an experienced and customer-focused business banker who has played a central role in building our market-leading institutional franchise in Australia. I’m confident under her leadership we will deliver even more for our customers, particularly as we bring the best of our institutional bank to our business customers.”
On Morgan’s departure, Matos said: “Clare has played a significant leadership role as we established Business & Private Bank as a standalone division and set the foundations for growth. Clare is a highly professional leader.
“I have valued her expertise and support since I joined and we all wish her well for the future.”
Morgan will assist with the transition ahead of Medard’s commencement.
